MAA

Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology, Cambridge

An outstanding collection of great historical value, including material from Captain James Cook's voyages and world-class collections of Oceanic, Asian, African and native American art: archaeological materials are from famous sites worldwide and British material includes especially important Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, Bronze Age, Roman and Saxon collections. The first phase of refurbishment for Cambridge University’s MAA, with exhibition designers At Large, presents the collection through two filters: Looking for Cambridge and Looking from Cambridge.

Our identity for Cambridge University’s Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology emphasises the key words which describe the collection. The feel is friendly and democratic, giving this teaching collection an accessible point of entry. In addition to the graphic design for the principal gallery our work included the website, stationery, posters and signage.
